We get a large number of requests for information, particularly to do with the service records of relatives, but unfortunately we cannot help the majority directly. This news article gives a couple of sources to try. We would, of course, like to hear how you got on and if you have a story to tell.

Try the following for information:

Army Records Office - Click Read More at the bottom of the page for address details

Post a message to the People Forum

National Archives

Commonwealth War Graves Commission

Imperial War Museum - Select Family History from the left menu. Information on searching records is available as a download.

Military Genealogy You will need to buy credits to obtain full information.

You should also try the County Records Office.

For more general information about the EY there is a range of books covering the 1st & 2nd Wars.

Good luck
