mail.com
Users with the TLD mail.com can no longer use the contact form. If you are a genuine user, please ask a friend to email with your details.

aol.com

  <title>How to find information</title>
  <link>http://www.essex-yeomanry.org.uk/eycms/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=9</link>
<description>We get a large number of requests for information, particularly to do with the service records of relatives, but unfortunately we cannot help the majority directly. This news article gives a couple of sources to try. We would, of course, like to hear how you got on and if you have a story to tell.

Try the following for information:

Army Records Office - Click Read More at the bottom of the page for address details

Post a message to the People Forum

National Archives

Commonwealth War Graves Commission

Imperial War Museum - Select Family History from the left menu. Information on searching records is available as a download.

Military Genealogy You will need to buy credits to obtain full information.

You should also try the County Records Office.

For more general information about the EY there is a range of books covering the 1st &amp; 2nd Wars.

  <title>Account Options</title>
  <link>http://www.essex-yeomanry.org.uk/eycms/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=6</link>
<description>A couple of people have asked how to set up their account. The examples below show two of the many options you have. The rest are done in the same way.

1. In My Account tools (Left menu)

Go to Configuration and then select your preferences. The important ones to check are: Receive Newsletter and Notify me of replies.

2. Go to Personal

Select an Avatar from the gallery. I will add more images in the future, but you can upload one of your own if you choose.

  <title>Guest book</title>
  <link>http://www.essex-yeomanry.org.uk/eycms/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=5</link>
<description>All the messages from the old guest book have been moved to the &#039;Guest Book&#039; forum page.

Due to the constant threat of SPAM, all email addresses have been removed. I will email everyone who has sent a message asking them to register on the site, which will allow them to send and receive messages without giving away their own email address (you can supply and alias if you wish).

These changes should make for a safer and more enjoyable use of the EYA website.

Regards,
